As a little girl I remember gazing up at the super cool neon PIZZA sign hanging on the brick wall at the local pizzeria my mom loved to take me to. It was “Buzzy’s” pizza in Niagara Falls, NY, and of course I loved the pizza, but that glowing neon sign is what I really wanted 😆. Little did I know, I would marry a beautiful Italian man who would spoil me rotten with his homemade pizza. Not only would I get that fabulous pizza (and the love of my life), but I would eventually get the sign through redheadcandecorate.com. Why a Neon Pizza Sign?

Welcome to Rick & Julie’s pizzeria. Here’s my beautiful Italian man I speak of, and yes he is the pizza baker. You see, my husband, Rick, became fascinated during the pandemic with learning how to make New York City pizza using our electric home oven (oh darn we had to keep taste testing pizza). Our Gorgeous Custom Personalized Pizza Sign in our Kitchen

Now that you know who makes the pizzas 😉, and why we would want a glowing pizza sign in our kitchen, I need to tell you where I got it. First, take a close-up of this knock-out cool neon pizza sign. I got so lucky…all I had to do was lean it up against the brick (there are holes/matching screws to hang if I change my mind).

When I received the sign (source listed below), I just couldn’t get over how perfectly crafted the curvy “Pizza” letters were. This custom neon pizza sign was created by hand, and you can really tell that a ton of love went into it. How do you like it in our little DIY Real Brick Backsplash background cooking space? This totally reminds me of those trips with my mom to her favorite pizzeria. If you look closely, you’ll see that the neon parts are secured by an acrylic base. The “invisible” base made it easy to lean on our shelf.

Where Did We Get Our Personalized Neon Sign?

Now, although the pizza sign truly takes me back to my childhood (thank you mom), I actually decided to gift this sign to my husband for Christmas after I was invited by Neon87.com to review one of their custom signs. I kept it all a secret from Rick, and Neon87.com was so easy to work with when I sent them a photo of an example of what I envisioned.

We turn on our green and red “Pizza” sign every evening, and it adds a homey appeal to our “Kitchen Lounge“…kind of like a candle does. Can you imagine all of the different decorating possibilities with this? From personal names, to a pink heart above your bed, there are endless options when you look around your home. I was even thinking I could rest the Pizza sign in our front window when we have our next pizza party 😆. Speaking of pizza…here’s more on pizza at our house…
