I am finally ready to share our kitchen at the new house ♥️! After many weeks of cleaning, moving, painting, and updating, our bodies are hurting 😆, but it is well worth it to us. I must tell you that Rick and I are enjoying our new home so much. We took a risk, and are feeling very blessed that it worked out. The neighborhood, location, view, and the house have literally won our hearts (and given me inspiration), and I can’t wait to share every single room with you on this new journey. First up…”Redhead Can Decorate’s 2024 Kitchen Makeover Reveal”. All of my sources are listed throughout the post if interested 😉.
Before we get started, hopefully you didn’t miss: OUR SUMMER DECORATED BACK YARD PATIO or the FAMILY ROOM PAINT MAKEOVER.

Redhead Can Decorate’s New Kitchen Before the Makeover
That was our new kitchen before the makeover 👆🏻. When we first walked into the kitchen we fell in love with it’s large island like we had at the old house, and I really love the counter tops. After we bought the house I knew this space would be “relatively” easy to switch things up to our style. We don’t have the energy to do any major renovations here because this kitchen is beautiful as is. With that being said, I can’t wait to show you how I transformed the kitchen into a more modern space with white paint, new light fixtures, framed prints, and new hardware. FYI-in the near future we plan on taking a few cabinets down to display a few things, and also changing the backsplash 😊.
Okay, so here it is…I hope you can easily spot the changes including: satin brass hardware changes, white paint above the cabinets, different stools, and the minimalistic refrigerator clean-up I mention below in full detail.

Redhead Can Decorate’s 2024 Kitchen Makeover Reveal
Yep, there I am in my slippers and boofy red hair twirling big screw drivers to get my new satin brass kitchen cabinet handles on. I decided to go BIG or go home. I chose the same 8 inch satin brass handles for all of the doors and drawers-that’s 50 in all including the coffee bar, and my office which is located in the kitchen (stay tuned). My husband is the talented one that can drill the hole into the cabinets that don’t have it for the double holed handles. I am the one who searched for hours for the right color, sent back 50 of the wrong color, and now screw them in-yippee. I was unable to find the correct color or length easy, but I do have the info below if interested.

Because of the stress of the move, and my husband is a busy attorney we hired out to not only paint for us, but also to install the SATIN BRASS (BRUSHED GOLD)) FAUCET, BLACK SINK, and the gorgeous SATIN BRASS & GLASS GLOBE PENDANT LIGHT FIXTURES. What are your thoughts on my choice for a black sink?

Clean Up Your Refrigerator for a Kitchen Makeover using Framed Prints from Pica Nova
Lastly, one of my most favorite parts of the kitchen makeover is the refrigerator update. After we cleaned the inside of the refrigerator that was left behind by the previous owners, I realized that I was accumulating way too many random photos on the fridge which is really easy to do especially now that we are empty nesters and we miss our kiddos. After receiving a lovely invitation to try PicaNova.com I came up with a plan to order one big acrylic print of the kids from a photo I recently took on our son’s 22nd birthday. Oh my goodness, it looks so clean, and less cluttered.
Here’s the after look…be sure to check out the before above!

TIP: To create a unique black and white (or colored) photo of your kiddos on an urban street shopping, lower yourself to the ground, have the subjects also pose lower as they see fit even if it is without a smile, and enjoy a really neat photo. SURPRISE! Here’s a 15% off coupon code to use for a framed acrylic print from Pic Nova: REDHEADCAN15. This coupon code is also good for anything you decide to order from Pica Nova 😊.

With this cute print on our fridge I feel like the kids are still home ;). Hey, I am going out to lunch with them tomorrow, I wonder if they are going to pay 😆???

Love this! It looks so good. Love the floor as well! Beautiful job!
Thank you, my friend! We love dark wood so the floor definitely feels right for us.
Love it! Lots of great ideas…..
Thank you for stopping by!!!
Everything looks beautiful. Love the black sink with the brass faucet. Can’t wait to see what you have planned for future posts.
Thank you, Mari!
•Where did you get the whiteboard for the fridge??
•A suggestion…..install pull out wooden drawers in all the lower cabinets. Your back will thank you as you get older.
•Why did you go w/a black sink?? Esthetic reasons?
What white board are you referring to? We do have pull out shelving in all the cabinets. I love it especially for pots & tupperware. As far as the black sink… it brings out the granite & adds depth in so much white with the satin brass hardware & faucet.
Great going- I absolutely love the hardware.
Thank you, Renee! It’s very elegant feeling.
You did good, love to all, Dad in NY

Julie, I’m so glad you painted the walls white because it lightened and brightened everything! Love those pendant lights and the black sink. I had one in our previous kitchen and the current one is a mushroom color. Love your choice of handles and faucet! It’s all so beautiful! Enjoy!
Thank you for stopping by, Jane!

This is gorgeous and seems to be very budget friendly. You wouldn’t happen to know the name of your granite, would you?
I do not, I am sorry! It reminds me of Cookies & Cream Ice Cream with sparkles in it. If you would like a close-up let me know.
