Okay friends…we have not one, not two, but three rescue cats, and I am not messing around with you when I say, this is “The Best Vacuum I ever Owned”! I’ve been around for almost 53 years, was a maid at the Holiday Inn at the age of 16, and have had cats, husband ♥️ , and 2 kiddos for most of my adult life. Trust me when I say…this affordable purple vacuum is the bomb. Read on for more information on why I love it so much, and how you can get one for your own spring cleaning.
Here’s Why I Wanted a New Vacuum
One of the very first things I do before I am about to take a photo for you is vacuum the room I am sharing. Let’s face it, cleaning is part of decorating. Unfortunately, vacuuming is not always an easy thing to do especially as you get older. We actually have a built-in central vacuuming system in this house, but the long hose can be quite a lot to handle at times. We also are very careful about how much cat hair we let in our system because it can get clogged. I wanted a light weight, efficient vacuum that I could pull out quick, and put back without a ton of fuss.
Here’s one of the hoodlums that roam around our house 😆.
Searching for the New Vacuum
When I began my vacuum search I quickly realized how many variables there are to finding the vacuum that you really desire. There’s so many options, bells & whistles, it can honestly be confusing, and a tad overwhelming. One of the best things you can do when purchasing a vacuum, is READ THE REVIEWS. I probably spent 3 hours reading reviews before I made this purchase 😊. I know…that sounds like a lot of time, but hey…I found the best vacuum I ever owned.
5 Reasons this is the Best Vacuum I Ever Owned
AUTOMATIC CORD REWIND
You may not realize how much you need an “automatic cord rewind”, but now I look forward to playing with this cord every week. Not having to wrestle with my hose, and not having to wind the darn cord up is a perk that stands out for me. Just put your foot on the big button, and the cord goes in all by itself. This feature is my favorite part about this vacuum.
PURPLE & LIGHTS UP!
I love purple (proof is here in this spring tablescape), so having a purple vacuum is my dream. Okay, maybe not my dream, but I think it’s fun and we all need a little fun, especially when cleaning the house. By the way, I use this vacuum on hardwood, carpeting, and area rugs. It is so nice not to have to worry about scratching my hardwood floors. The attachment is good for getting into tight areas. I should also mention that it lights up in front so you can see every little thing you need to.

LIGHT WEIGHT & EASY TO PICK UP
One of the worst downfalls in a vacuum (maybe you can relate?) is if it’s too heavy to lift. I store our vac in a closet where there are boots and stuff, so I have to lift it up even before I begin. This baby is very easy to lift. It’s important to note though, that it still has a ton of power.
EXCELLENT SUCKING POWER
Even though this vacuum doesn’t weigh a ton, it still has amazing suck power. If you notice that yellow knob on the bottom of the vacuum-that’s where you can adjust the height according to what you’re vacuuming.

EASY/LARGE CLEAN OUT BIN
Lastly…I think you can see how large the bin is where the dirt goes. It’s also extremely simple to empty —> just lift up, and take out to your garbage can and empty in 2 seconds.

HI Julie:
That vacuum sounds great, I don’t have pets, but kudos to you for taking in rescues. My daughter has a white Persian cat and there is so much hair, will suggest this to her. Love the expression “fur”.
The sheets sound cool, too bad prize is only in USA. I like the blog about the glass cleaner, will see if I can get some, also didn’t know about the brown paper towels vs, regular.
Really good tips this time!
Cheers, Bette
I see you message, Bette! YEAY!!! I sent you an e mail, too. The brown old fashion paper towels work like a charm. No residue! The white kitty sounds beautiful XO
Hey Julie
Did you get my reply that I wrote yesterday?
Cheers, Bette
Sure did, Bette! Sorry…I have been busy haven’t checked these messages since last week. All is good-I hope you are doing well. When will spring come???
Thank you for the vacuum information. My Dyson has gone to Dyson heaven and after reading your article, I did purchase the Eureka. So far it is great. I could not find it in the store, but did order it online. Received it quickly, now no excuse for dusty floors :-). I enjoy your blog and have been following for a long time.
Hi Phyllis! I just used the vacuum today! I hope you like it as much as I do!
Hi Julie
