Happy New Year, to all! I was just telling my sister how 2019 has been an emotional rollercoaster for our family. We’ve had some of our lowest lows, but also many of our highest highs. I know this holds true for most families because that’s life…nothing is promised, and we should savor each day, each moment like it’s our last. I hope my collection of “10 Amazing Appetizers You Should Try” will help you savor the moments this New Year’s Eve!

This first appetizer above might look a little familiar to those of you that have been following along here at redheadcandecorate.com. It’s the famous “Appetizer Tree” that I shared approximately 5 years ago, only one of my sweet college friends made this beauty with her mom recently and shared it with me. I asked her if she wouldn’t mind if I shared it with you, and she said yes.
What’s special about the “Appetizer Tree” is that you can put your own spin on it like my special friend, and her mom did. If you look closely at their Appetizer Tree above, they used cherry peppers (yum), and fresh mozzarella that had been marinated. Such a fantastic idea. They made it even more spectacular by adding her grandmother’s ravioli cutter to the top as a tree topper to hang on to when “picking” the treats off. So incredibly clever, and such a unique way to include their loved one.
Here’s a video on how to make the Appetizer Tree:

Moving on to the remaining 9 appetizers, all you have to do is sift through the photos below, and click on your favorite by clicking the title for the full recipe, or tutorial. If you would like to save all of these appetizers for later, I made a pin for you at the very bottom.

Happy New Year to you and your family
Thank you, Wendy!
It sure is hard to get to what you talk about in your email for example how to re-purpose of champagne glasses. There were so many appetizers and snacks listed that I couldn’t even find what the topic of your email link information was and it’s becoming very frustrating.
Susan, The champagne glasses are #6 of the 10 appetizers. If scrolling through my free information that I spend many hours preparing is frustrating, then reading my blog is probably not for you.
Hi Julie and Happy New Year soon:
What great designs for the apple plates and all. It does take a lot of time and effort to plan all your ideas and crafts. I’m sure everyone that reads your blog agrees. There is always the exception.
I am making the fresh salsa and bean dip this spring for a family get together, it sounds delicious.
Hope all is well with your Mom and a great 2020 to you all.
Cheers, Bette
Thank you, Bette! Your sweet comments are the best!
