Welcome to the DIY Housewives first 2018 edition “Home Organizing Tips”. Okay, tell me. Is your tree down yet??? This is the first year EVER that I our tree and decorations are down before the kids go back to school. It is seriously a miracle. Please don’t feel overly impressed with my quick organizing skills, though. You see…all of our Christmas decor is “down”, but every single bulb, ribbon, Santa, candle, and Christmas light, is also just sitting on our basement floor waiting for me to tuck it in all nice and neat into it’s final resting spot for the next 11 months. So, yes, the easy part was taking it down. The difficult part is organizing it into the plastic tubs.
To be brutally honest, I suffer from “diagnosed” mild OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), and “organizing” is one of my problem areas. Especially when it comes to things I adore and hold dear to my heart. You see…I organize EVERYTHING. Some may think that is OCD, but it really isn’t. OCD steps in when you have to keep “checking it”, and re-organizing it over and over because of your brain telling you to. I have a mild form of that, and it can be difficult at times. With all of that being said…I do organize quite well-ha ha. Let’s just say that I’ve had a lot of practice, shall we? 😯
So, lets’s get organizing…
Do you remember when I made these “DIY Simple Spice Jars” after we created our “DIY Brick Backsplash“? I still have them up there on the cute wooden shelf we made, and I love having them right above where I cook. It is not only convenient, but they look kind of cool. Oh, and the glass jar keeps my spices nice and fresh, too. If you would like to learn more about these easy-to-make spice jars, just click below, but wait there is more…
Before I show you what all of the DIY Housewives are sharing today for our organizing party, I wanted to tell you about these gorgeous pots my husband gave me for Christmas. Check out the gorgeous color.
I posted them on my Facebook page and people got a little happy about them, so thought I would share them here, too. I have used all of them so far, and I am absolutely in love with them. I don’t even have to use cooking spray when I fry my egg. You won’t believe it, but there is a “pretend” diamond on each handle. This is a must see.

Drooling here!! Although they can never be an addition to my home because the money is needed to bring up “grandchildren” and others all more in need than I am I must hand me head in Shame and wish fervently that I could add that collection of outs to my kitchen, bwahahaha. Small hint of jealously peeking it’s ugly head out, lol. Do enjoy the marvel they will make of your cooking and backing. Hubby done did real good that!!!!
