Yippee! Only 8 more weeks until we can get into our new house 😊! We are so excited, but at the same time we have lots to take care of at the temporary apartment. If you follow along here at redheadcandecorate.com, you know that I couldn’t help but decorate our 2 bedroom apartment even though we would only be here a year or two. With that being said, we have 3 light fixtures to switch out, 2 doors to reattach, removable wallpaper to remove, and of course there’s all the packing, too. So, I thought it would be nice to take a break from all of that and go shopping for the new house. Below you’ll see 5 of Redhead’s Latest Shopping Finds for the Home…let’s go!

Just when I think I have too many “throws” 😉 I ran across this gorgeous soft off white knit blanket at Target. My husband stole it on our sofa and uses it every night. We love it, but it did shed a little in the beginning. Nothing major, and it has stopped shedding so don’t let that stop you. I love how large the pattern is. This would make a great gift wouldn’t it? Okay, how about a cup of coffee to go with that cozy blanky?

Next up on latest shopping finds for the home, I can’t wait to show you where I am putting a coffee bar in our new house! There is a small designated area off the kitchen in between the laundry room, and the dining room that has built in upper and lower cabinets with a counter…so we are thinking that we are going to use that area for coffee, tea, and cocktails. I have been digging these clear glass insulated coffee cups since we moved into the apartment, but they are rather large. When I saw this coffee mug tree I grabbed it because it saves so much space for my favorite mugs. It was a fantastic price at Target, for $19.99. Pretty in pink! Before I get to those glass colored candle stick holders, yes our Christmas tree is still up 😆. I figure why take it down because we enjoy the warm glow at night time because it is still really cold here in Michigan. If you didn’t know, I enjoy collecting colored glass, so when I saw these light pink mismatched candle stick holders, I was smitten. This photo does not do them justice, they are so pretty in person. I found them at HomeGoods, and there were more options to choose from. I have big plans for a huge shelf at the house designated just for all of my colored glass pieces! Maybe I will call it my “Color Glass Wall” 😊 and invite you in to SEE it. Hey…speaking of SEEING 👀…

I may or may not have an eyeglass addiction going on here…regardless, I found an inexpensive acrylic eyeglass organizer to display them all. Right now in the apartment I have this rack on my bathroom counter, but I plan on putting it in my walk-in closet that has built-in shelves. I absolutely love having easy access to all of my glasses and sunglasses (my sunglasses were in the car so I filled the bottom two spaces with my husband’s eye glasses). I slipped in the mirror my mom gifted me many years ago ❤️. Okay…time for the best find yet!

Yep…my husband is the best find of my entire life that’s for sure. We were recently so blessed to be gifted by my husband’s brother and his beautiful wife this real photo they found at our beloved uncle’s home after he had passed. The only other time I have seen this photo of my handsome husband in the Army Reserves was on his Mom’s wall back in 1989. I got on line immediately after we received it and searched for a pretty frame that would capture my love for Richard. I keep this on my night stand now and joke around saying I have him on both sides of me while I sleep ❤️. FYI, the floating frame comes in different colors if interested. Thank you for your service, Rick.
