How to Turn a Martini Glass into a Q-Tip Holder

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail

My sweet husband bought these cool martini glasses for me for Christmas back in 2004. The funny thing is, I have never been a martini person, but he was going through some weird “martini phase” back then πŸ˜†. Maybe he was hoping I would join him ❀️. Well, the martini phase lasted a few months, and I have had these martini glasses up in our cabinet for almost 20 years. That’s why I’m here today telling you “How to Turn a Martini Glass into a Q-Tip Holder”. I know it sounds funny, but honestly it’s very pretty. Your q-tips will be the coolest q-tips on the block.

You gotta admit, that is a really neat martini glass, right? I mean, forget the cocktail, let’s just play with the blue glass ball. Oh wait, there was that one time I did use these martini glasses (we have a set of 2) for a photo shoot for our summer deck. I filled them with water & lemon and they looked great. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long before they were back in the cabinet.

Recently, after I created this colorful glass tissue dispenser, I began to think about what I had in the house to sit next to it for my q-tips πŸ˜‰. I use about 2 q-tips a day for make-up and such, and I like them out in the open where I can just grab one. Bingo…q-tip martini time. It’s almost like the martini glass is just saying, “Take one, Julie.”

Isn’t this q-tip holder just so cute and unique? It definitely beats a cardboard dispenser, right? Do you have any lonely martini glasses in your cabinets??? How about any pretty glasses that you don’t ever use? This would look so cute in a guest room, or powder room. Cotton balls would work, too.

How to Create Martini Q-Tip Holder

Here’s how I made my pretty q-tip holder in about 5 seconds… just grab a big handful, and stick them in being careful to keep them straight up. I ended up sticking in a few extra q-tips in the end.

You R so right; that is one cool, neat martini glass.
I just normally use my fancy glasses to put variety of candy in for the holidays, otherwise they just never get used. Have also used them to put condiments in; just to fancy up the table a bit.
