Welcome to our “Fall Fantasy Master Bedroom Makeover”. I’m very excited to share our pretty master bedroom yet again, even though I have re-decorated it many, many times through out the years as a blogger, and even before I wrote about it. No matter how many times I re-create our romantic, cozy retreat, it never seems to get old. There’s been many versions, and some I bet you haven’t seen yet (but you will today 🤭). I hope you enjoy this year’s “Fall Fantasy” tour, and don’t be surprised if you spot one of our furry pet’s tail in the photo below! 🍁 🍁 🍁

Fall Fantasy Master Bedroom Makeover Through the Years
Take a look below to see what our master bedroom looked like right after we moved in. It’s nice, but very plain…and cramped.

Next, you’ll see how I decided to go for the gusto with green 😲, and we also took a risk by situating the bed in front of the big bay window. I can’t really tell you why I went so bold with the green, but I can tell you that moving the bed created so much more room. It also made the canopy frame of the bed the star of the show.

Once I ventured into blogging, I began to develop my own decorating style and was able to pin point what I truly wanted. The green was an experiment, but what I truly craved was more of a classic look that could be manipulated over the different seasons of our lives here. White walls allowed me to tap further into my preferences as a decorator. Here’s the room after we went with white walls, but the wood planked ceiling didn’t exist yet.

Fall Fantasy Master Bedroom Makeover with Warm Amber Lights Under the Bed
I’ve decorated our white walled master bedroom for almost every season (see more here), but this is the second time for Fall. I wanted to have fun this year, and wanted it to feel warm, yet like a fantasy where beautiful leaves actually fall from the sky, and warm ambers light up the floor. So, what do you think?

My favorite part about this “Fall Fantasy Master Bedroom Makeover” are the warm lights under the bed. I used white Christmas lights to give that warm effect, and I just couldn’t get over how much of a difference it really makes when you walk into the room. The only downfall is that you need to take care of the dust bunnies pronto 😆.

To achieve the burning amber effect, I had to line the lights up just at the right spot under the bed so they would glow off the wood floor. I used an extension cord to help me get there from an electric socket over by my husband’s night stand on the left side of the bed.
In addition, I folded the set of white Christmas lights in half so they were doubled up and bright. Then, I kept adjusting it in a straight line, so as I entered the room, I couldn’t see the actual string of lights, but could see the glow from them.

The lights under the bed actually make a nice night light, too. I turn them off before bed, but when it get’s dark out I turn them on because I usually go in and out of the bedroom a couple times because our bedroom is on our main floor.

Fall Fantasy Master Bedroom Makeover Decor Tips
Did you happen to notice how I tried to make it appear as though the leaves were falling from the sky and they were blowing onto the bed? Pretty cool, huh? Gotta love dollar store leaf garland.
Hey-you may remember when we framed in a cardboard poster with wood? Doesn’t it look pretty against the glowing fall colors? Here that tutorial if interested: “Easy DIY Custom Wood Frame“.
Oh, and the post about the warm industrial style sconces above our night stands can be found here: industrial sconce.

The remaining fall decor I used throughout the tour were all things I had in my stash with the exception being the pumpkin pecan candle found on my night stand on the right side of the bed, and the faux candy apples found on my husband’s night stand on the left side of the bed (see photos above for those and stop by next week for a faux candy apple giveaway.

I can’t let this post end without telling you how shocked I was when my very very old Pottery Barn striped purple and gold lumbar pillow match the “Snowy Fall Spiced Wreath” I shared last week. I mean, the colors were exactly the same 🤭. That pillow is over 15 years old and it looks beautiful up against the large gold lumbar pillow from Homegoods last year, and our white pleated pillow shams…

I think that sums it up, but please always feel free to ask in the comments if you have any other questions. Happy Fall, from the Redhead~

This is absolutely my favorite makeover you have done for your bedroom. I use it to restyle my own.
That’s awesome!!!
Once again you’ve created a magical beauty! The lights under the bed give that golden glow so perfect for Autumn. This is my favorite season; I enjoy decorating with the beauty of nature;so many warm colors to play with. Lights is so much better than my guess “a rug” (that sure was a boring guess) lol
It’s beautiful thanks for sharing ❤️

[…] on that pretty gold and white ceramic cake stand. However, last week when I shared our “Fall Fantasy Bedroom” I put them on my husband’s night stand🤭. I think I may have lost a few subscribers […]
I made a thrift tray from a framed picture. It was longer than it was wide. I removed the picture and added a pretty fabric, replaced the glass, painted the frame and added chrome hardware + rubber feet. Viola!
That sounds fantastic!!
So fun to see the progressive stages of decor.
It is all good as long as it’s fall in my book.
