Ready for a twisted story from the Redhead? Last Sunday, I was staining some shelves in our garage for our upcoming living room built-in(s)/fireplace makeover and I was dreaming about what I wanted for lunch. Well, while I had garlic bread and soup dancing around in my red head, I stepped up the steps to press the garage door opener so I could put the rags outside and when I stepped back down, I missed the step and landed on my left ankle and fell to the ground. I’m not going to lie, it was pretty bad, and got scary because I actually heard the ankle crack. To top it off, I couldn’t get up. You know the lady that falls and can’t get up? Yah, that’s me. So, I crawled on my arms up the steps and knocked on the door as hard as I could so my husband would hear me. Luckily a trip to the hospital disclosed that I did not break it, but I sprained it badly. Pretty twisted, right? Well, I won’t let a sprained ankle stop me from getting my projects completed, no way! I am healing up nicely and the boot they provided is a blessing. So, take it from me. Be careful when you are working on your projects, or around the house. You never know when you might miss a step 😯 . Let’s have some fun now with the DIY Housewives…welcome to this month’s edition I titled “Cute & Clever Heart Crafts”…

The girls and I have brought together some amazingly, cute & clever heart crafts that will be sure to get you in the mood for Valentine’s Day. I chose the “Old T-Shirt Heart Wreath” I made from my husband’s undershirt because he basically saved my last weekend! If you want the full story on how I made the t-shirt wreath, just click the blue link. Also, don’t forget to scroll down and see what all of the DIY Housewives created!

Your t-shirt heart is adorable!
Such wonderful little projects. Thank You.
Also, great tutorial on your heart wreath and just so happens I have a red T-Shirt that I plan on using; too good to put in rag pile and yet too thin to wear anymore……….so thank you for the wonderful idea.
Hope your ankle is getting better.
Take care and have a wonderful weekend
Thank you, Colleen! Red sounds gorgeous! Now all we need is pink! ~ Julie

Well, first let me say, I sure hope you are healing fast and in no pain! AND…Girl Be Careful!!! Also, those boots are life savers. I’ve had a couple of foot surgeries and loved my boot!!! Now, second, I love some of the DIY heart projects. The T-Shirt heart is really neat and I love the heart pillow. Also the wine cork heart…I have several, I mean a few (Ha!) wine corks, I need to try this. Enjoyed your post as always! Take Care!
