The older I’ve become, the less I wear around my neck when I go out, and the more I prefer eye catching bracelets. Last week, I was wishing I had a “wood” bracelet to match “wood” earrings I purchased for a special romantic weekend get-a-way with my husband. Boom! Inspiration finally struck after I thought about the suede lace (kind of like a shoe lace) I use for rustic gift tags, and napkin holders. A Little Fun with Decorating First, then the Sexy Rustic Suede Bracelet…

Before we get to the bracelet tutorial, did you ever notice how folks dress like they decorate their home? I never thought of that before, until I read it somewhere, and realized I might be one of those peeps 😲. Let’s have a little fun today. Let’s see if I dress myself like I dress our home.

Geesh…I really hope I do dress myself like those 😆. Here’s me last Monday on a really good day (we went out to eat with the kids).

I apologize in advance for all the photos of me in this post 🙄, but I want you to see how I styled the bracelet just in case you like it, and want to try something similar. I am usually a “stay at home lady” so getting dressed up is a little unusual, but lately we have been “livin it up” after such a horrid year & half.

You be the judge…do you think I kinda dress like I decorate?

Well guys, I think it’s safe to say that yes, I kinda do dress like I decorate. Did you notice the wood earrings that match our wood island!? How about the black shirt to go with the black cabinets, or the faded jeans that flow with the rustic vibe in our kitchen/bedroom? It’s rather fun to think about, so let me know if you do the same. It all just proves that our style goes well beyond our homes…it is innately developed inside of us and like I always say to my husband, “We like what we like, and we can’t help it.” To top it all off, I think my husband dresses like I decorate, too 😆.

Sexy Rustic Suede Bracelet 2 Minute Tutorial

• Purchase real leather suede lace here (that part doesn’t count in the 2 minute deal) : SUEDE LACE
• Cut 1 long piece (mine is 52 inches long).
• Ask your significant other to come here 😆.
• Hold one end of the suede lace between 2 fingers in one hand so your palm is showing.
• Wrap the lace around your wrist the way you want it to lay (keep hanging on to the end). It’s fun to try different variations, I like it spread out, but wrapping it close together is pretty, too.
• Have your partner tie it with a double knot, or you can also do it like a sneaker tie with 2 rabbit ears. Don’t make it too tight, give yourself some room.
• Go out and show off your sexy new handmade bracelet.
