Christmas Wreath Giveaway

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail

I don’t know about you, but I have 2 sides when it comes to decorating for Christmas.  One is very, very traditional, and the other is not 😆 .  For example, a traditional fresh pine wreath on our front door is just what Santa ordered.  The scent of fresh pine just blows me away, and makes me feel like Mrs. Claus a kid again.  On the other hand…that kid in me still needs to have a little fun, and be a little different.  I think you’ll find both sides displayed on our Christmas front porch this year.  Last year’s “Fresh Pine Garland Christmas Porch” was all about the fresh garland, however this year it is all about the fresh wreath…and a few other fun sidekicks for the kid in all of us.  Oh, and let’s not forget the “Christmas Wreath Giveaway”.  I wonder who the 2 winners will be?

There are some really cute front porch decorating ideas for Christmas at the Christmas Wreath Giveaway...

I was very fortunate this year to partner with Lynch Creek Farm for this very generous and beautiful wreath giveaway.  If you’ve never heard of Lynch Creek Farm, you are in for a treat.  LCF is a family owned and operated company since 1980 located in the beautiful state of Washington.  In the beginning, they sold organic vegetables, but their farm has grown and now they create fresh wreaths, garland, centerpieces, and even mini Christmas trees.  When they asked me to pick out my favorite wreath for our home I jumped on that toboggan instantly.  They also said I could give 2 of the same wreaths away to 2 readers.  How cool is that?

You may be surprised that my favorite wreath out of them all, was the simplest.  I literally fell in LOVE.  Classic wins every time.

Check out the stunning classic style “Three Cedars” 26 inch wreath on our door.  She is a knock on the door knock-out!

Just look at those green needles  !  They almost look like feathers, don’t they?  Let me tell you, those babies are definitely NOT feathers.  To be specific, this stunning wreath is made with fresh Western red cedar, incense cedar, white pine, and Port Orford cedar.  So, basically it’s made with cedar & pine that have beautiful names I’ve never heard of before.  This wreath will last 3 weeks indoors and 4-6 weeks outdoors, with regular watering.

But wait, let’s get back to the story…

After the wreath was delivered Forest the cat and I, inspected it (how appropriate that Forest is interested) and I couldn’t wait to hang it on our front door.

Then I fell into the Christmas decorating mood and started to think about how I could decorate the rest of the porch without taking away from the wreath.

I thought about fresh pine garland, but I did that last year and honestly didn’t think I could find anything as pretty as the wreath.  That’s when I looked around the house and used what I already had.  Smart.

The kid in me told me to use the Heidi Swap Mini-Light Box I had in our laundry room.  I originally used this cute light-up sign in our Laundry Room/Mud Room Makeover.  Just think of all the different greetings you could display on it at your front door.  So fun, and very unexpected.

If you missed my thrifty white night-stand makeover you can see that tutorial here.

This year instead of stuffing the drawer with ornaments and ribbon, I decided to stuff it with snow, snow flakes (dollar store), and snowballs.  Stay tuned…that snow is on our Christmas tree and I am shocked it worked.

Before I forget, the cute blue trellis rug my son picked out is from Target a couple days ago.  I love how it matches our periwinkle colored house.  It really adds some coziness.

You can also read all about the candy cane filled post box here, and the white on white Christmas string lights around the door where added for night time, but look cute during the daylight hours, too.

Lastly, if you missed it last week, these 2 thrifty Snowman Lovers are over on the other side of the porch.  They really top off the snowy flakey scene.

    Hi Julie,

First let me say thank you for the opportunity. Second, having just recently lost my mother, this holiday season is all about memories. I remember growing up on a farm in northern Maine and every year my mother would hand make a Christmas Wreath for the front door of our house. Her wreaths were very similar to the Seasonal Radiance. So that one is my favorite. My dad would go down in the woods on our farm with a workhorse or two and haul back to the house our Christmas tree and another tree or two for mom to make wreaths out of. Some years both of my grandmother’s would also be at the house making wreaths for their houses too. Such wonderful memories you have brought back to me! Thank you.

  54. JILL NELSON says:

I love them all!! But narrowed down to 4 I would have to pick Eastern Wheat, Green English Holly, Cinnamon Candy Apple, and the simple Bah-Humbug. Also think your snow lovers are soooooo cute.

  118. Teresa W. says:

Hi Julie! I have received your newsletter for a few years now and joined your Facebook page about a year or so ago. We always had a live tree when I was a kid, but I haven’t had one in many years. I Iove the smell so much that I try candles and air fresheners that are pine scented and they do help, but there is nothing like the real deal! My favorite wreath is the “Everlasting Hope”. I lost my dad 24 years ago to cancer and my husband this past June to cancer as well. In fact, I lost a wonderful dog 3 years ago to cancer. I hate cancer and hope they raise a lot of money by selling these wreathes to donate to cancer research. Thank you and God bless.

  119. Virginia Friedman says:

I loved all the wreaths but my favorite was the Country Wreath. I think. I keep going back and forth from the traditional to the country. I looked at everything, garland, centerpieces and all. I love your porch. Especially the sign.

  120. Pat M. says:

My favorite thing on your porch is the wood snowman couple. But since I don’t have that couple on my porch, the favorite thing on my porch would be a real evergreen wreath, if you would be so kind as to choose me as winner of the giveaway. Thanking you in advance ….

Your front porch is so festive and I would feel very welcome there I am positive. You have displayed a welcome sign just for me, “Welcome Flakes”. Yes, that would be me. Gotta love it!!!!!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

  131. I like country Christmas. Your posts are so inspirational and creative. I like how you do things with a personal touch using simple pieces that are cost efficient also. One of my favorite things was when you painted the rug onto the floor I thought that was neat. And the Christmas tree pallet that was amazing.

  132. They are all SO beautiful, Julie. But, I think WINE COUNTRY is my favorite. Gorgeous. What a fantastic giveaway…neat company with beautiful wreaths.

  144. Gina McMickens says:

Hi Mrs. Julie!! First off, Merry Christmas to you, your husband & family!!! ???? You are such an inspiration & I absolutely love reading your articles I get by email. It’s been a really tough year for me & my family, as we almost lost my Father numerous times throughout this year since March when he ended up having a massive heart attack which lead to triple bypass surgery. He since then has had six more surgeries on his heart & leg. I actually would love to surprise my Mother & Father with a beautiful wreath because they deserve something as special as this after everything they have been through.
There are so many gorgeous wreaths to choose from, however, I love the “Two Turtle Doves”, as it gives a shabby-chic style look and to have a pair of delightfully distressed alabaster birds perfectly perched together reminds me of my Mother & Father!!! It will look absolutely gorgeous hanging on their front porch door!! Thank you so much for this opportunity and as always, I will continue to look forward to your amazing ideas and viewing your beautiful home! Bunches of love your way!! ????

I like the traditional cedar wreath you chose; however the plaid traditional one calls to me….probably because I am recently widowed & my 53 years young husband was a bagpiper.
thanks for an encouraging blog that gives me at least a momentary lift. bless you.

    Hi Julie,
Love all the ideas from your Christmas porch this year, especially the snow theme and beautiful wreath! My favorite is the Holiday pickup! I made a Christmas wall hanging from a red pick up fabric panel, the wreath would be perfect!

    Julie,
Enjoy your blog, I love the Woodland Lodge. It reminds me of the whitetail deer we see
everyday in the edge of our woods. We feed them each day, but I admit I have an agenda
It’s to keep them out of my flowers !
