I hope you “leave” this “Decorate with Leaves” post feeling like you are ready to jump into a big pile of leaves and decorate, decorate, decorate!
I can just walk outside in my PJ’s and pick Fall leaves off of the trees come September and October and use them all over my home for decor, but I know not everyone can do that depending on where you live. If you live in an area that doesn’t produce pretty Autumn foliage, the dollar store is loaded with artificial leaves (including garland) that are actually very realistic and very pretty. You’ll find that not only do I love to decorate for Fall with real leaves, I also use the fake ones 😯 .
So, I searched my blog for all of my best Fall leaf ideas and I came up with five. The first one is a Fall foliage tour during the peak season. Then below the tour you’ll find 4 of my ideas using fresh & faux Fall leaves for Fall home decorating. And wait! There’s more. The All Things Creative Team has 7 more leaf ideas for you at the very end. Enjoy those gorgeous colors!

Wow looks really nice. great job for fall, love, Dad in NY
Hi Julie:
Again, I do enjoy your site and all your great ideas. I am going to do my Thanksgiving table like your affordable one. I do have the candle holders and the table runner, so will add my leaves etc. Will let you know if I get any compliments.
I know it’s early, but hope you and your family have a good one.
Cheers, Bette
Hi Bette! Ohhh I am so happy you are going to try it! You can soak the leaves in a little water or wet paper towels to keep them fresh longer. Just pat dry right before you set the table. Let me know how it goes. And thank you~
It is too early in Dallas to decorate but late September I can get started. We need cooler weather before I get motivated.
Hi Gayle, I have been praying for Texas. I bet this is the last thing on people’s minds right now. Thank you for stopping over. I will send some cool air down there soon!! ~ Julie
So where I live (Israel) it is still full blown summer. It will be well into October, too. Sometimes November gets to be a bit like fall. Your post reminds me of my childhood back in the states and how much I love pumpkins (only found here in can form). It’s really lovely.
Hi Rivka! If I could send you some pumpkins I surely would! They aren’t even close to being out yet, but everyone seems to rush it. I am so excited to know that you read my blog all the way from Isreal. Enjoy these Summer months, and I hope you will come back to visit me. & thank you!! ~ Julie
Just love all your fall ideas.
Hi Linda! Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy September to you in about 24 hours! ~ Julie
Julie, it’s too early for me (Chicago suburb)…. love what you’ve shown and yet fall leads to s-n-o-w and hubby gets excited more than me as I tolerate our cold snowy winters….though I would think you have your share of this kind of winter too!
Oh Julie, I hear you! Fall is so rushed this year. I am east of you by 6 hrs. I still haven’t had a hot Summer??? Have you?
Fabulous table setting and your fall decorations. I love it all. Althought we still have all the makings of summer, and no signs of fall yet. Everything is green, I still love your fall decorations. Thanks for the ideas for when I start my fall decorating.
This year a double LEAF garland of burlap and book pages (StoneGable) and real leaves dried and attached to an all glass frame !!
AND lots or different shapes and sizes of real orange pumpkins.
TKS for more great FALL decor.
Oh, how I love Fall with all the beautiful changing of the leaves. Love your ideas up above.
I do some Fall decorating but not as much as I used to do; but hey, I do have my Fall wreath hung up. Many of my Fall items I divided up and gave to our 2 daughters. I do need to dig out my candle holders and table center piece yet.
Been keeping decorating pretty simple but yet it gives color to certain areas of the home.
Thanks 4 sharing your lovely photos.
Beautiful Fall leaf inspiration! I love using real Fall leaves…some seem to turn brown quickly on me! I am so blessed to live in an area that has spectacular Fall leaves…Can’t imagine how beautiful it must be in the North…
Suddenly do not get your posts try signing up again and keeps saying oops something went wrong!
Oh no, I am so sorry! I will add you again, Ann. When did you notice this? ~ Julie (I am sending one out tomorrow 9-2-17 let me know if you get it!)
Hi Ann, I tried, and it says I can’t sign you up because of spam. Can you try going to my blog from a different computer or phone and try form there? If not, I just started a group on Facebook. Are you on Facebook?
Delightful! I’m just now finally feeling like autumn is on its way and delighted! This is a sweet delight and will make my seasonal decor Pinterest board look quite autumnal. Thank you 🙂
Loved the railing!! Actually, the whole entryway looks so beautiful!
Thank you, Diana! Your comment is so sweet. Made my night. Hope you can stop by tomorrow for more easy Fall decor. ~ Julie
