The DIY Housewives are at it again, can you believe it? It’s like these ladies never rest. Oh wait, that means me-ha ha. This time it’s all about the kiddos & the theme is “Children’s Bedrooms”. Hey, even if you don’t have little ones, maybe there are a few grandchildren in the family? I have 2 teens and they are growing up fast like all kids do . I just didn’t realize it would go by THIS FAST, you know? I cry a lot when I think about it because I am sensitive like that, but I have to be honest…the teen years have been good. I enjoy having deep conversations with my teens and there is no one I would rather hang out with (well, besides Rick of course). They are presently learning how to cook, drive, and one is even teaching small children ART. It is all very bitter sweet and I love them so very much.
So, before I start crying, I better get this out. First, you’ll see a few photos of my youngest daughter’s bedroom makeover from a couple years back and then at the bottom you’ll see all the DIY Housewives have linked up their children’s rooms. There is even a play room, too. I should also mention that we have a special guest this month, so be on the look out for her…

Absolutely love seeing the world map behind the bed, and the globe. As a retired teacher, I cannot emphasize enough how much kids need to know their geography. Also love the colorful quilts.
Thank you, Maureen! I am a teacher, too. Our daughter is planning on pursuing a history teacher career ?
Great post Julie found some sweet ideas to pass on to my daughter. She is gathering ideas for her “infant to two yr. old” daughter bedroom re-do. Hope your weather is warming up.
That is great, Darlene!!
Love this room, Jordan has a map in his room as well 🙂
Thanks, Kristin! ?
