I feel like I just finished the dishes from last year’s Thanksgiving dinner, how about you?
Now, here it is November 2, 2016 and we have about 3 weeks left to prepare our Thanksgiving feast. Well, sort of. Things are a little different for us this year because we won’t be hosting. I admit, I do feel a little weird happy about that. It’s been a long time since I had that day off. What will I do with myself? Watch football (no way)? Watch my Dad make his famous gravy (possibly)?
Wait a minute. I think I just answered my own question. Did you see those cute Thanksgiving ideas from the DIY Housewives? There’s still a million things I can do to help even though I’m not hosting, including making this “Cranberry Pecan Pie”…
Can you imagine the look on the face of the hostess when you hand him/her this beauty?

Or, I could always help with the table or other decorating “duties” 😆 ? I could even bring the hostesses (My Mom & Dad) a gift like a big yellow mum…
Or even a beautiful handmade magnolia wreath, or little pear placards. Thanks to the DIY Housewives it will be easy…

Thanks, Maryann! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
My dad’s favorite pie is Pecan! Looks like I’m going to be trying this one out this year!
Try it Jacque! Just remember to add in 1 cup of fresh cranberries, thats it!
