Please forgive me.
I’m on Summer schedule now, so you never really know when you’ll get a post in your inbox.
Don’t worry though…I have tons to share this Summer.
Last night, I walked up stairs into our 12 year old’s bedroom.
She’s really into makeup lately.
I’m “going with it” because I have learned to pick my battles.
Besides, it’s fun for us to experiment, and I love teaching her how to apply it.
The only bad part so far, is the mess on her dresser.
The powder and gook is ruining the finish on her wood dresser.
So…I looked around the house for a tray to give her.
I had nothing except a Nascar tray which I know she wouldn’t like.
I searched further.
Bingo!
That’s when the “DIY Duct Taped Cookie Sheet Makeup Tray” idea entered my head.
I have tons of old cookie sheets. I also have tons of duct tape (not sure why).
I got to work quickly at the kitchen table and taped it all up.
The hardest part was cutting the duct tape.
You will need very sharp scissors.
I didn’t measure, I just eyed it.
For the writing I used Sharpie Paint Pens.
I had the star stickers from my “Crib Mattress Turned American Flag“.
Valerie loves it. I love it. It will definitely help protect her dresser top.
Best of all, she will have something Mom made her for years to come.
This baby is solid.
See you Saturday!
