Good morning…I’m early today.
Valerie’s room is finished.
The full reveal will be coming up at the end of March.
Until then, I have 2 “parts” to share.
—
I have this small cupboard in our living room that is packed full of photo albums/boxes.
I also have a bunch of extra Christmas lights.
Find a couple nails/thumb tacks and now you can make my:
“Simple DIY Photo Frame”.
The key word being, SIMPLE.
There are so many positives with this fun DIY project.
It’s simple, basically free, fast, fun, creative, original, versatile, and it makes a great night light 🙂
You can even personalize it like this…
(hint: permanent markers are easy to paint over if you change your mind)

First, find a wall you want to use.
Wouldn’t this be cool on a full wall?
Decide on your shape…a circle would be fun too.
I didn’t measure, I just used a level to get the nails even.
I wrapped the light strand (buy Christmas lights here) around twice since it was long enough.
Print out your photos in black & white, or colored.
When I cut mine, I left a small white border.
Tack them in on all 4 corners inside the shape.
Go crooked so no worries about being straight.
I told Valerie she can add to this in whatever way she likes.
Life’s too short to worry about the tack holes.
Looking forward to next weeks reveal.
It’s the wall above her bed.
hint: it is 75% water
🙂

Love this Julie! I am pinning this for when we redo my oldest daughters room! I just finished my living room gallery wall and had a blast with that!
