“I can’t find my glasses.”
I’ve said it, you’ve said it, and my hubby has certainly said it.
Not anymore.
Merry Christmas Pop!
Yes…I call my hubby Pop, and this was one of his Christmas gifts.
Rick had Lasik surgery a couple years ago so he only needs reading glasses now.
He has accumulated too many several pairs.
He leaves them all over the house, but yet can’t find them anywhere.
Then he buys more.
I needed to put an end to the madness people!!
How could we store his glasses in one place with easy access.
Then I thought of sun visor clips.

Incase your not familiar with these…they clip on your car’s sun visor and hold your glasses.
I love them.
While we were Christmas shopping, I bought 3 packs of 2.
I found some on-line, too HERE.
Rick was with me, but he knew better than to ask what I was up to.
Then, I began to think of what I could attach them to.
I remembered I bought this Pine Wood Board months ago on a whim because I knew I could use it somewhere.
You can order one on line HERE.
So…I stained it.
Then I polyurethaned it.
Then I had to figure out how to get the clips on the board.
If you look closely below, you will see the hole where the screw fit.
I also should note that the curved wire part came off easily with a little maneuvering.
That way, it would lay flat.
After I attached the clips where I wanted them, I knew it needed some personalization.
Stencils worked easily.
Just a little paint and it was finished.
Almost forgot about it with our crazy power outage on Christmas.
He loved it.
We hung it right over his little catch-all in our bedroom.
So, now I’ll never hear this guy say,
“I can’t find my glasses.”

Around here these days we need a his and hers!
Our new puppy decided she likes to chew on reading glasses. I think this might be a good idea in my house!
Such a great idea, Julie!! I think I am up to 4 pair now myself. Pinned! xo
With three people wearing glasses in our house we could use this in our lives!

I just love this and the way they look like little dragonflies <3
OMG…they do!!! Thanks Linda!
Waayyy too cute!!
Awesome idea!! I’m doing a Mario themed room for my grandson(age 6). I’m totally stealing your idea and painting the wood round as one of the gold coins from the game! We are constantly hunting glasses so I’m hoping this will provide incentive to keep track of them. Thanks!!!
What size was the pine round?. Clever red!
Hi Mark, and thank you! I just added the “link” in the post. It will give all of the dimensions, etc. Thanks for reminding me to put it in there. Are you making one? If so, share it with me, please 🙂 ~ Julie
Like all your ideas, this one is up there to. I love it! In our home, I have this exact problem with my hub keeping up with his glass as well. Thank you so much for this brilliant idea.
Enjoy your new year eve
