Kitchen Makeover Part 2 (Sneak Peak)

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail
Redhead has been an extremely busy girl.
My head has been spinning most of the week,
but luckily,
I have regained…
CONTROL!Last Friday I posted about some uncontrollable urges
to paint my kitchen (again)…Like my Daughter, Daphne, use to say when she was 2…
“Wha you say???”
I know…
I can’t explain it to you.
It’s just me, and I don’t plan on changing. So…Today I have a sneak peak for you,
but can’t show you the final product because I am waiting on a few things. Before I get started,
I would like to make a couple announcements.

If you notice up on my sidebar, I posted some information regarding the
Red Cross and how to make donations to hurricane Sandy victims.
If making a donation isn’t possible, please keep all of these folks in your thoughts and prayers.

On a better note, I wanted to let all of you know that I am having an INCREDIBLE giveaway starting November 23rd.
It’s the day after Thanksgiving…so maybe you can come on over and enter after you get home from Christmas shopping.
I’ve never been one to get up in the middle of the night to go shopping,
but I probably should try it some year.
I rather sleep after all that turkey!

This giveaway is part of a Christmas link party that Jen,
from Four Marrs & One Venus, and I, are having.
Jen is one of my favorite gals in blogland.
Her sense of humor, down to earth nature,
and her endless devotion to her 3 boys is why I follow her daily!
I know you will enjoy her as much as I do.

FYI…

You do not have to have a blog to enter this giveaway
all you have to do is leave a comment.
Blogs have the option to link up their favorite Christmas decor, recipes, crafts, and stories so we can visit them.

If you would like to see all of the fabulous gifts,
just click on this Christmas button I made below.
Some of the gifts come directly from Redheadcandecorate.com.
Even my Mom helped me pick one out!

Oh!  I almost forgot…
Cookies…yes, FREE COOKIES delivered to your door are also part of the giveaway…how cool is that?
FOOD!!!
I tried a sample this past week, and let me tell you…I think it was the best peanut butter cookie I ever ate!
Valerie agreed.
Thanks Patti!So now…
On to the kitchen sneak peak.I’m just going to dive right in, because honestly it’s 1:00pm and I still have to pick up the girls at school and go grocery shopping. Now don’t worry…
I did not paint the entire kitchen white.  If you recall, this use to be black.

I’m diggin the white on these doors because it shows off the seeded glass.

The green bottle light fixture just wasn’t working for our family either.
I may be selling it in a future RCD Store at a great price 🙂
Stay tuned.
This light fixture we hung on Halloween, and it was relatively inexpensive ($159.00 @ Home depot).
Love those vintage bulbs from Nostalgicbulbs.com!

I can actually see through this light fixture so it makes the room seem larger.Yes…the copper tin is history.
I’ll explain more later…
I am a huge fan of whitewash, or distressing.
This is my favorite part so far, but I can’t share it all!
Rick came home last Friday to a mess.
Was he angry?
No…
He has faith in me,
and I hope you do too!
I will let you know when we are finished.Love,
JulieIf you would like to receive an e-mail when I post,
