Welcome to our Cape Cod style home during Spring in the Midwest! It’s still pretty cold here, but the sun is out today! I thought it would be a great time to inspire you all with some paint! We took a risk with periwinkle (at least it looks like periwinkle in person) a couple years ago, but we love it against the crisp white and chocolate brown! Some of these were taken today and you will notice lots of yard work that needs attention…if it would just stop being so windy and cold!!Rick and I have worked very hard over the last 3 1/2 years getting this house back in shape. We still have lots to do, but we sure are proud of the improvements thus far and I love sharing it with you all not to boast, but to inspire. XO
Stop by again soon!

Your house is beautiful and the periwinkle really brightens it up! Good choice in color!
Such a beautiful setting . . . How many swans do you have now?
There’s still 2 but our pond is very dry right now. 🙁
I was anxious to see your house painted green. I love green (not every shade). I really liked the view through the trees and the shade of green was what I like, so I thought “hmmmm I think this is good”. BUT THEN I saw the same view through the trees with your house looking like a light had been turned on! The blue color just made it pop. So much better!! Great improvement!!
Thank you, Carol. It’s been blue for a while now and we will need to paint in the next couple years. I’m wondering about white with the brick and cedar shutters. What do you think?
