Garden Glove Spring Wreath

I hope you, “Dig it, man.”  I walked into the dollar store 2 weeks ago while my husband was in the shoe store next door, and I saw these bright beautiful garden gloves on the rack right in front of the door.  I immediately picked up a few pairs, felt them, and tried to envision a “Spring Wreath”.  It was hard…there were so many people people in there, and I was a bit annoyed to be honest (hint: avoid the dollar store on Saturdays).  I took a few deep breaths, walked around and came back to the gloves.  I knew this could work if I just took my time.  Little did I know the “Garden Glove Spring Wreath” would turn out so darn cute.

I am so happy I stuck with this, and didn’t go join Rick at the shoe store!  This “Garden Glove Spring Wreath” is probably the cutest wreath I have ever designed.  It even blows away the “Garden Hose Wreath” as far as I am concerned  😯 .  I totally dig how simple it was to make.

Lets’a not forget it only cost $11 bucks.  I nearly croaked  when I realized how inexpensive.

Here’s how I did it!
Supplies:
-1 dollar store round green foam wreath (see photos)
-8 pairs of dollar store gloves in preferred colors (I separated each pair and used 1 glove at a time on the wreath.)
-1 metal dollar store frog yard stick (cut off stick part with metal cutters-if no metal cutters, find another frog 😉 )
-dollar store garden name tag (w/ permanent marker)
-stapler
-permanent marker
-twine/wire

Directions:
-Cut off tags on all gloves and lay-out your design.  If you decide to use my design, use 1 glove at a time.  I used 3 patterns total, and alternated in groups of 3’s.  The photo shows this.  In other words: GREEN GLOVE, POLKA DOT GLOVE, CHECKERED GLOVE.
-Once you have your basic lay-out done, use a stapler (TIP:large safety pins will work too!) to connect gloves to themselves after you wrap it around the wreath.  The photos below show this best.
-Slide your gloves around that are connected with the stapler so they are spaced out on foam wreath.  Fluff those gloves!
-Use thin wire to attach frog to front of wreath.
-Have fun and write something fun on tag and stick in frog.  I didn’t even need glue.
-Hang with twine casually.
-Dig it!

I love your new ‘Glove Wreath’, it is so adorable!!! I went out to the Dollar Store near near me to pick up all the supplies you listed yesterday. I tried using my stapler, but it was too small to work through the thickness of the gloves, next tried sewing, I didn’t like the look.
So this morning I found a straw wreath form in my craft supplies, and florist staples to attach the gloves.
Yours is still the cutest wreath ever, I may still make a few changes after looking at it for awhile.
Hugs and a big thankful for sharing with us your cute wreath! It makes me smile!

I love the garden glove wreath! Instructions are great and it’s a reasonable summer house gift. The only thing missing is the size of the styrofoam wreath?
Can you please advise? Did I miss it somewhere?
