Hi everyone…our beautiful, custom designed, by yours truly, Jacksonville, Florida home is currently up for sale. We built this home in 2007 right before my husband was transferred back to Michigan. It was a bitter sweet time in our lives because we loved our new home and friends in Florida, but we also knew we would be closer to family up North. Besides…I am a true Northerner from NY. I missed the snow!
This home has many unique upgrades and design details that I love. Some of my favorites are the beautiful double doors that greet you as you walk in. Then I custom designed the tile on an angle in he foyer, kitchen backsplash, and fireplace. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Another wonderful feature is the gourmet kitchen with an island, glass cabinet inserts, and quartz counter tops.
Oh, and before I forget…there is plenty of room for a pool in the back!

I miss that house, love, Dad
Yah, I put my heart and soul into that house, but I’m over it now. Glad to be where we are.
The link you have highlighted says this link is no longer available (so doesn’t work). But looks like a nice house..I was wondering where in Jax it was.
It is working now, Laurie, thanks for letting me know. This home is located in Durbin Crossing or directly adjacent to Julington Creek.
What a beauty! If it was here in Denver, you could ask $800k.
Wow! That is really something, Jan!
I know the feeling of leaving a home you love. But guess what, you take the good memories with you and maybe the next home you create will be even better. We’re into Barns…living in our third remodeled barn…love those posts and beams and the 24 ft high ceiling. Because we’re rather long in the tooth, did something smart in this house….put in two elevators, because the main living floor, kitchen, master bedrooms, living/dining is all upstairs.
Gorgeous! Michigan is beautiful and you’ll have another one there just with cooler weather.
Julie,
I get your emails and love the projects you do. I thought it was funny when you said you were selling your house in Florida. My husband and I are in Florida and also in the 32259 zip code. We are in Julington Creek and he is also a realtor with Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty and the Susan Kennedy Team so he may get a chance to show your beautiful home. Good luck in selling it. Things have been selling quickly here. Keep the projects coming. Love all your ideas.

Holy moly, Brenda! What a small world. You must have thought this was so crazy when you saw it. You probably know some of my old friends 🙂 It’s such a great house…so very hard to leave. I don’t think I would have become a blogger though…so it all worked out. Thanks for stopping in to say hello, and have a great weekend! ~ Julie
Wow, you put so much work into you house to make it a home. Whomever get it, I am sure, will be pleased how well it was taken care of. They will not find problems in your home, because you did not make shortcuts in renovation. Good luck to you.
Good luck Julie on the sale of your beautiful Florida home.
Thanks, Debbie! XXOO
Hi Julie,
I was wondering where in Michigan did you move to , as I live in Michigan too Clarkston to be exact. I hope you find Michigan as amazing as I do and have. We have a lot, to offer. Good luck to you.
I’m new to your blog and I was drawn to all your diy’s.
I live in St. John’s, right outside of Jacksonville. Hope you can sell quickly. Looks like a beautiful place.
