It’s Redhead’s Day at Looksi (& I have a secret!)

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail
Today is a big day for redheadcandecorate.com.
It also happens to be a big day for my husband, Rick, too.
He starts his new job today.
He’s earned a much deserved position and I am very proud of him.
He is a very hard worker who painted houses while putting
himself through law school at night.
He’s also very supportive of this redhead.
I caught a good one.
Get it?  (photo)

While he’s on his new adventure…
I’m here sipping my tea looking forward to 2:00pm today.
I hope you can join me on Looksi as I share my curated collection of affordable DIY projects.
Let me explain a little.  When family & friends visit our home,
I think their first instinct is to think that we have spent a fortune decorating it.
The 50 paint cans in our basement is proof that we have not.
The majority of my decorating is done with paint & thrifty finds.
I am a firm believer that no matter how much money you make,
you can still decorate, or update your home to make it beautiful.
Looksi and I will share some of these techniques within this collection.

Here are just a few examples of what you will see.
I’m such a tease.

A couple of the gals I’m featuring today have decided to post about it today too.
Thank you Cindy from Little Miss Celebration
Jeanie from Create & Babble &
Sherry from Pondered Primed Perfected!
Please stop over and visit them, they are the sweetest.

Last week I mentioned a secret!
I have to admit, I’ve been hiding something, or someone from you.
I’ve been aching to show her to the world!
Okay, so maybe the world isn’t reading my blog,
but you are.
That’s why I’m improving RCD…for you.
Are you ready?
I am.
Presenting…the new….
REDHEAD

I am in love with this gal.
My designer, Jenn, from Munchkin Land Designs has been absolutely excellent.
I gave her an idea of what I was looking for, and wow, did she deliver.
She’s based off my blog photo that you see on my side bar——>Isn’t she a cutie?
I know I don’t exactly look like her, but we can pretend.
That’s my NASCAR #39 shirt, and I have crop jeans just like those you know.
I wear my hair up every single day of my life and
I wear hoops, and will until I’m 85.  I also wear glasses.
You all know I love to paint and cook…
I even have a green cook book just like that from my Grandfather.

This lovely gal will be on my new header when my blog transfer takes place.
That reminds me.  I will be “missing” for a while after my post on Saturday (big giveaway!).
My blog will still be here, but I won’t be adding to it.
However, you will find me on Facebook  while my transfer takes place.
Hopefully, by the end of the month it will be finished and I will have a fresh post for you.
Wish me luck with this transfer (please).
Thank you for sticking by me through it all.
I promise once it’s complete,
my posts will continue on Fridays like always.
I have lots planned for the new RCD.
Including a living room makeover and a laundry room surprise.
Not to mention mouth watering recipes.  I’de like to end this post with a beautiful flower from
my Mom’s garden in memory of those lives lost in Boston.
