All Things Christmas Trees

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail

I’ve had a few folks tell me that they are excited to see what our Christmas tree looks like this year.  I hope the title “All Things Christmas Trees” didn’t trick them, or you into thinking that this is my Christmas tree reveal.  I hate to be a Christmas tree tease lady 😉 , but sorry guys this is not the reveal.  However, this Thursday is the big day!  I’m finishing up the decorating today and will be joining some very talented bloggers for a Christmas tree blog hop.  So, please stay tuned.  In the mean time…the DIY Housewives and I have put together a cute “All Things Christmas Tree” collection for you.  It’s packed full of fun Christmas tree ideas and lots of repurposing which is always my favorite.

My contribution today is probably my most popular Christmas project to date.  Our “Pallet Christmas Tree” is one of my most visited posts.  Unfortunately, it’s also one that gets “ripped off” often.  In other words, bloggers use my images from the tutorial without permission.  If you ever see my “Pallet Christmas Tree” images without a link to my blog, please let me know.  Thank you so much for having my back.  Click here to see the full step-by-step tutorial…

I really like your pallet tree also, it’s a keeper and has inspired me to change direction for tree making for daughter. Your tree is great, where do you have it displayed?
Was going to use all ball ornaments for tree but after seeing your tree will be using lights and ornaments. Or maybe combo there-of. But who knows, I like to fly by seat of my britches, make it up as I go along.
Did you have fun while designing and making your tree?
Mr. Furry made 2 backboards for me to make one display for us and one for daughter. I stained them a light gray then let myself think about what would do.
Had Mr.Furry staple pine, faux garland all around edges of back board then he stapled on a nice sized silver glitter reindeer from $tree like it was getting ready to take off, turned out way better than I thought, the simplicity was best way to go. We put it up on our shutter shelf like we would have on a mantel, looks pretty decent up there. Was going to make a tree but decided against it once I got going.
Hope my tree for daughter turns out as nicely as yours.
    Enjoy rest of week

Good morning, JaneEllen! We put it on the front porch…off to the side. Speaking of trees, I just published our tree for this year. Be on the look out for some cotton balls 😉 I hope you enjoy it! I bet your daughter is going to LOVE the tree you made for her!
