Halloween Party Ideas & “The Haunted Hall”

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail

Our oldest daughter, Daphne, turns 14 soon.

Happy Birthday Daphne!

Once again we will be celebrating with a “Halloween” themed party this year.

It has now become a tradition and I must admit, it’s a decorators dream šŸ™‚

Below you will find some of our “Halloween Party Ideas”.

Better bring your flash light.

[insert Vincent Price’s evil laugh here]

Pool Noodle Witch Legs

I found this idea all over Pinterest.

It literally took me 5 minutes. Ā Just stuff, and put under a chair or a rug.

Toilet Paper Mummies

Ā  Split up the party peeps into partners. Ā Give them TP and let ‘er rip. Ā No pun intended.

Rip holes for eyes & mouth.

Warning…this does make a mess.

Pop Rock’s Potion

Pop Rocks Potion

For a cool drink, pour a little spoonful of Pop Rock’s into some Kool-Aid.

It will fiz & pop for a couple minutes. Ā Kids love it.

Scary Blood Bath

It’s tempting, isn’t it.

Little Val and I had fun making this.

Just water & red food coloring and floating led lights from Party City.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Glow Stick Swords

Found these cool glow sticks at the dollar store.

We usually let the crew run around outside for a couple minutes right at dusk with an adult monitoring at all times of course.

Something so simple, but they love it.

Luminaries

I line the drive way or sidewalk with these, but I use the little led lights found @ the dollar store.

The bags can be found there as well, or use lunch bags.

If it’s windy, add sand or cat litter to the bottom.

Decorate w/ String Lights

Be sure to decorate the party space with a ton of colored lights.

This totally sets the mood.

Hang whatever you have from the ceiling for more spooky-ness.

Last, but certainly not least…

Make a…

Haunted Hall

Haunted Hall

We have a hall in our basement that we light up with colored lights, and we turn on spooky music, and let the fog machine go.

My hubby hides and pounds on the walls.

The guests have to travel through to greet their

“special guest” waiting for them at the end of the…

[SCREAM!]

HAUNTED HALL!

Here’s turn 2, almost there…

Haunted Hall 2

The guy hanging on the string is Sam and he glides back & forth with a cackle.

Don’t go in that room to the right.

The furnace ghost lives in there. Ā For real.

Just keep going straight, and duck under Sammy.

He’s harmless.

Veer to the right.

Your at the end.

Who is that?

To be honest, we don’t know who it is.

All we know is that he appears every Halloween with the same hunting outfit, and batman face.

He’s actually very handsome in person.

I hope you have a wonderful, safe Halloween!

Take it Vincent!

“AAHAAHAHAHA….AHHHHAHAAAAAA….”

Here’s more Halloween decor from last week…

just click on the photo and I will take you there.

  1. Hello my dear red headed sister from another mother and father! Happy Birthday to Daphne! Love her style BTW. I love all of the decorations for your party and especially the scary hallway. This is only our second year decorating for Halloween and throwing a party so I’m hoping next year to make it bigger and scarier! What time should we be over for the festivities? Hugs, Holly

The party is going to be a blast! I love Halloween parties – I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of my love for Halloween. Love your ideas! When my kids were younger, we had a party and I freaked a few of their guests out. I made a “reach inside if you dare” box – 4 small boxes, hooked together to make 4 cubbies, two on two, spray painted it all black then covered the open end with a drape of black felt. Each cubbie contained something gross – spaghetti was monster guts, peeled grapes were bat eyes, Jello was a witch’s brain – you get the picture. Just the thought of what the sign said was inside and then reaching your hand into the dark unknown and feeling it made them all squeal and carry on. It was great! Have a spooktacular time! Hugs, Leena
