Behind the Scenes at RCD

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail
While thinking about what I would like to post about next, I originally was going to share an easy makeover, but instead have decided to bring you behind the “not so pretty” scenes of redheadcandecorate’s house…I am a very organized person, or at least I try to be.  That doesn’t necessarily mean that our home looks like the pictures I share.

After my hubby went to work this morning and I drove the girls to school,
I decided to take some quick shots of our house and how it REALLY looks.

First the kitchen…

Remember that post about how I transformed our dining room into an RCD office (found here)?
Well…somehow I ended up in the kitchen again (grrrr).
This is also proof my kids eat b-fast before school! 🙂
Apparently, no, I don’t fold laundry!  hahaYou would be amazed at how much laundry I can hide I mean fit into that little tiny hamper.  I mean it really holds a lot.  Don’t worry Mom, I will have this picked up by tonight.

Okay…prepare yourself for an eye full.  All rated “G” I promise.

Remember my tween’s bedroom I shared (found here).
Well…here it is for real!  Not too bad actually!
Such good girlies I have 🙂
Love them with all my heart! Now on to Dude’s stairs…these are the stairs he uses to get outside to go pee pee.  Dude is a Lab…Labs dig in dirt and shed like crazy.  Here are my lovely stair carpet covers that work miracles, but are not too pretty!
He’s worth it.

Now you are really going behind the scenes of RCD…  this is where I do all of my secret painting!
Got to have a pretty lamp at least!
I am a spray paint collector apparently! Now for the grand finale…RCD holiday decoration storage…back when we had our first house I had all of it up in a pull down attic.
What a relief to have this space in the basement (and a lot safer at this age).
The previous owners started this room in our basement, but never finished it.

I better get going with some of that Fall decor!
I was going to share the garage, but that I’m saving for an upcoming post. Thanks for swinging by…hope I made you laugh today…I still have to clean all that up and it’s already time to go get the girls!

I love you white front door! But mostly I love your style and talent. Even when your home is shown in “family lives here” condition, it’s completely wonderful. Thanks for sharing.

I think you might change your mind today if you were here, Kathleen, but I will take this nice compliment and run with it!!! 😉
