Laundry/Mud  Room

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail
No one can escape laundry!

It’s just part of life.

***update on 05/23/2012 (For those of you just reading this post…after I read all the comments below about painting the cabinets white, I couldn’t resist doing it last night. Almost finished and I will post pictures when I am!)

Here is a picture of the process:

—————————————————–

I have taught my girls early…they help by folding all of the socks, undies, and they put all of their clothes away.  They also switch the loads for me!

…even Rick folds laundry around here, but I don’t let him wash.  No need to discuss that right now! (wink)

We bought our house 3 1/2 years ago…we’ve changed lots.  Mostly with paint.

For the laundry room I decided to stick with wall paper since it’s so in right now.

Here are some before pictures…

awww…even little Val’s boots made the shot!

It’s not too bad…

I am thankful to have a laundry room with my
own machines to tell you the truth!

When we first started out I had to carry our laundry down 3 flights into an apt. building basement community laundry room.

Very thankful!

Being the “decorator” I am,
makes it impossible not to try to improve what is already there…

Here it is today after:

~painting the moldings
~wall papering
~purchasing corian for the counters with a new tub/faucet

I spray painted an old clock black, and the letters I found at Home Goods.  They were not easy to hang.

Lets just say the letters have to stay there for a while :), and please don’t tell Rick that there are holes behind them!!

Hydrangea hooks are from Pier 1 and were $10.
Did I spell that right?
The baskets & rug are from Target.
The laundry tub before was so dirty from all of the painting we have done.

I love my new clean one so much.

No paint in this one yet!

Laundry hamper & curtain panel from Target as well…
I save lots on curtains by doing the “swag”.  You only need 1/2 the curtains!
I wonder if those cabinets would look good painted white???

Hmmmm????
