Black & Pink Chair Makeover

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail

Remember when Danny wore black & pink to the prom?  I fell in love with him it THEN.  I was 10 and my Mom & Dad took me to see the movie “Grease”.  Danny was so smooth, and charming.  Add a little romantic chic & feminine and BOOM…you have my “Black & Pink Chair Makeover”.

So yah, I like black & pink together. Was it “Grease” that did it?  I have no idea.  Either way you have to admit that they are a great pair.  Sexy, bold, chic, romantic, feminine, yet masculine.  They are just darn pretty together.

So, when my oldest daughter picked out this beautiful pink rose fabric I just had to have it.  I knew it would make these chairs that I inherited POP with interest.

Here they were in our bedroom about 8 years ago.  I love the shape.

(see our bedroom now HERE)

Way Way Before

Here they are when I attempted to get bold.

Then, I got really bold and reupholster them with a zebra print blanket that had ripped.  It was a perfect match because the blanket was from my Mom, and the chairs were originally from her Dad in the late 50’s (maybe that’s why I chose black & pink, hmmmm???).

They looked really good, and I actually kept the zebra fabric under the rose fabric if I want to go back to it.  Plus, it’s from my MOM!

Here’s one for Valentine’s Day…aren’t those black shoes sexy?  I bet my husband wishes I would wear them.

Okay, so here’s one now all embellished with pink roses.  It almost looks like a cake.  Or possibly one of those 1975 pool caps we had to wear in the gym pool.  Oh no, I hope it doesn’t  😯 .

Oh look…here’s my handsome grandfather hanging over his chairs with his great granddaughter’s fabric.  Pretty cool.  I know he would LOVE them.  I just happened to have a pink rose frame.

Wowsers, talk about S-E-X-Y. Gotta love those chairs with pin rose fabric and all embellishment to your scene. Where do you have this? Back in your room?
Love your ceiling, does look like a cabin, snazzy one, but a cabin. Would love to have wood ceiling but not cottage cheese ceiling in our mfg.home. When people order a house they don’t pay attention to things have to live with, aaarrrgghh.
Hope you have wonderful weekend Julie.

otta love those chairs and all else. Awesome old phone too. Finding that fabric is like icing on cake and embellishments to scene are pretty hot too. Good job.

Wonderful; I love each and every one of the chair transformations. You really have ‘the eye’, ‘the touch’, and ‘the talent’ to make things turn out just right. Each one has its’ own personality. Thank you Julie 🙂

Love the pink and black combination. Many years ago, my mom got a car in that color combo. The car didn’t last long but the memory of its coolness did. I admire your ingenuity and stamina. Can’t wait to see the next project.
