Welcome to  “The Blogger Spotlight” series…

As a blogger, I am privileged to work with some fascinating people.  People I would have probably never had the opportunity to meet because they blog from all over the world.

“The Blogger Spotlight” is my way of introducing some of these talented folks to you.  Over the next few months, I’ll be “Spotlighting” some of my favorites.

First up, a very talented DIY blogger from Virginia Beach…

Hi there Redhead Can Decorate readers!

I’m Christy and I blog at Confessions of a Serial Do-it-Yourselfer, and I am so excited to be hanging out with you today!

As the name of my blog suggests, I move from one project to the next to the next. I love to drag home all kinds of treasures from who knows where and give them new life! I also love to share my outdoor spaces and easy-to-follow sewing tutorials.

I’d love to share a few of my favorite projects with you today…

First up, is this headboard I found a few months ago at a thrift store for $30:

It was pretty scratched up, but that was no problem…

I turned it into a bench and painted it in this beautiful Mason Jar Blue milk paint!

Here is another thrift store find. This was $69:

Duck-and-White-China-Hutch-16 (3)

I had this sitting in my garage forever and I must have seen at least four more just like it at various estate sales and antique malls, so I didn’t feel so bad about painting it.

Now it’s one-of-a-kind:

How about an estate sale find? These lovely red painted chairs were $55 for the pair:

Pretty, no?

They are now…

I don’t just enjoy making over furniture.

Here is a thrift store mirror and frame that were asking for a fresh new makeover:

And after a little paint magic and fabric…

Here is another fun makeover from thrift store parts. This lamp was sent to me from another blogger as part of a thrift store makeover challenge:
I paired it with this frame to make a fun memo board:

I also love to share easy-to-follow sewing tutorials. If you’re looking to update those faded and worn outdoor cushion covers, I’ve got just the thing:
