Julie’s Red Hot Tip #7 Baked Eggs

Facebooktwitterpinterestmail

I was watching an episode of “Housewives” and came in on a kitchen scene where one of the housewives mentioned how she had to get her “eggs out of the oven.”  She didn’t get into specifics, but they were having breakfast.

Hmm?

I immediately asked myself…
“Who in the heck bakes their eggs in the oven???”
I knew I had to try it even though I had no idea how!

They ended up being the best “fried” eggs I ever had!
I am not sure why, but baking them enhances their flavor in my opinion and my husband feels the same.

We make a big breakfast for our family every weekend and I find baking them is easier as well…what took me so long!?

While they bake, I can sip my tea and watch Sponge Bob!!

Here’s how I do it…

Hope ya give it a try!

Love,
Julie

  3. I can’t believe I’ve never tried this! I already do my bacon in the oven. Can’t wait to do my eggs too all in one shot!

Finally I can make green chili and eggs for dinner without having to stand at the stove forever frying eggs!

Hey,just wanted to share this…I’ve tried it a few times and it’s revolutionized my breakfast routine. Parchment paper on a cookie sheet+ 1 lb of bacon spread out and slightly and “wrinkled” so you leave just enough room for eggs at the bottom of the pan. Bake at 450 until just about done. (I usually don’t time it,it seems like about 25 minutes) then in the last five minutes tilt the pan forward enough to where the grease spreads to the front then crack 5-6 eggs across the front of the pan. And in 4-5 minutes it’s all done, with super easy clean-up! 🙂

I have been cooking my bacon in the oven, but I had never thought of cooking the eggs in there. I have a heck of a time flipping eggs. So this would be perfect for me. I will have to try it next time I make eggs.
